Define each benefit separately.
A discount helps the new customer on their first eligible purchase. Referral credit is available for a later purchase by the customer who recommended your business. Choose amounts your margin can support.
| Illustrative example | Condition |
|---|---|
| New customer: USD 10 discount | First eligible purchase of at least USD 100. |
| Referrer: USD 15 credit | After that first eligible purchase is confirmed. |
| Combined face value: USD 25 | Review economic cost, limits and margin before offering it. |
Publish conditions before sharing.
- Which products or packages qualify and the minimum purchase.
- Who counts as a new customer and how the recommendation is identified.
- When credit is awarded and where it can be used.
- Applicable limits, transfers and expiry conditions. Do not promise options outside your published rules.

Create a referral card
Configure the offer, initial discount and referral credit. Review the design and conditions.
Prepare the referral
Use the card journey to connect the new customer with the referrer; sharing an untracked message is not enough.
Confirm the eligible purchase
Your team reviews and records the purchase. Credit depends on a confirmed first purchase meeting the rules, not just opening a link.
Review balances
Check the discount, available credit and recorded transaction before promising a benefit has been awarded.
Explain acceptance if offering family credit.
D Card referrals allow credit to be offered to a direct family member and require the recipient to accept. Explain the amount and follow the transfer status; a pending offer is not credit already available to the relative.
Measure purchases and benefit usage.
Count recommendations resulting in confirmed purchases, credit awarded and credit used. Compare the cost with observed revenue and contribution. Enrollment or a pending recommendation is not a sale.
